Gaps Progress Report Available: America Makes and ANSI Publish Standardization Roadmap for Additive Manufacturing

America Makes and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) announced today the availability of a Gaps Progress Report tracking efforts over the last nine months by standards developing organizations (SDOs) and others to address the gaps identified in the Standardization Roadmap for Additive Manufacturing, Version 3.0, published by the America Makes and ANSI Additive Manufacturing Standardization Collaborative (AMSC).

America Makes Announces IMPACT 2.0 Project Call Worth $6.6M in Funding

America Makes and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) announced a new open project call funded by the Office of the Secretary of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program (OSD ManTech) worth a total of $6.6M. The project call, Improvements in Manufacturing Productivity via Additive Capabilities and Techno-Economic Analysis 2.0 (IMPACT 2.0), consists of two areas of focus and aims to demonstrate lead time, productivity, and yield improvements for casting and forging (C&F) manufacturing operations using additive manufacturing (AM) technologies. Seven awards are anticipated with the maximum request for funding varying depending upon the specific topic area.
