MXD, a DoD Manufacturing Innovation Institute (MII), displayed an innovative TNT explosive mixing process at the Pentagon, July 8, 2025. In partnership with Picatinny Arsenal, MxD used digital twin technology that ensures precise formulas, reduces errors, and minimizes waste. The display was part of a DoD Manufacturing Technology Program’s (DoD ManTech) annual event, which that includes exhibits and demonstrations across its portfolio. Under DoD ManTech, the MIIs work with public and private entities to provide a crucial link between research, development and the U.S. defense manufacturing sector.
