MSTP-Indiana University Student Partnership Earns Recognition for Innovation
Congratulations to the four Indiana University - Kelley School of Business students whose innovative contributions to the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Manufacturing Science and Technology Program (MSTP) earned them first prize in the Indiana University Kelley School of Business’s Field Consulting Project course. Great work, Eric Berggren, Christian Marshall, Jackie Ness, and Emily Osbourne! The course pairs groups of second-year master’s degree students with local businesses, government agencies, and non-profits in a competition to solve active business challenges. MSTP tasked this year’s team with improving the process flow and efficiencies of its annual call for proposals. The students rose to the occasion, devising a tracking metric and a visual process flow tool that now provides MSTP complete visibility of all the steps within the proposal evaluation process. The benefits of this innovative tool to assist the user in quickly making informed decisions set the team apart from the 19 other competitors, and it will serve as a valuable resource for MSTP for years to come.
