Long distance delivery
Air Force Airman 1st Class Nicholas Zinner, a sharpshooter and security forces fire team member assigned to the 621st Contingency Response Wing, fires at a known-distance target on a training range on Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J.,, Oct. 3, 2013. This kind of learning is a focus of study for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Targeted Neuroplasticity Training program. In partnership with Arizona State University, for example, a team will work with the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Air Force 711th Human Performance Wing, and the Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine to evaluate TNT stimulation protocols with a group of volunteers who are practicing marksmanship and decision-making.
